Phase 1: North Shore Pump Station (Lions Gate Bridge)
Henry Foundation Drilling Inc. (HFDI) was contracted to execute the comprehensive design-build shoring scope for the new North Shore pump station, strategically positioned directly underneath the historic Lions Gate Bridge.
Collaborating closely with the client, HFDI engineered a highly cost-effective and structurally advanced design consisting of a circular secant pile compression ring adjoining an internally braced secant pile shaft.
Phase 2: Wastewater Conveyance Access Shafts (Shafts 2, 6, 8, and 9)
Following the success of Phase 1, Henry Foundation Drilling Inc. was trusted to design and construct the temporary structural shoring for the new pump station expansion along with eight (8) specialized access shafts.
This critical infrastructure phase facilitates the installation of sub-surface conveyance piping designed to transfer wastewater efficiently from the existing Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment Plant to the state-of-the-art North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant.
