The new Olivier coupling, available for pipes starting at 133mm (5āĀ¼), addresses several drawbacks of the classic version. It eliminates the need for screws and matches almost the same diameter as the drilling pipe. The inner diameter remains unchanged from the classic coupling. Additionally, the plugs have been modified and rounded to fit the couplingās radius. These improvements result in a significantly reduced wear factor compared to the classic Olivier coupling. Due to the absence of screws, there is no longer a threaded hole in the male side. This means that the interior of the male part is now completely sealed. The new Olivier coupling is available in two versions: with 8 plugs and with 16 plugs. The choice depends on the specific application and the required drilling torque.
