What owners say about Mulag

Reviews, questions and photos from people who run the machines

We moderate reviews before they're published, but we don't fact-check them

Reviews are written by equipment owners and operators. Our team looks over each review before it goes live, and anyone can report a review they think breaks the rules.

We don't verify the claims made in reviews, so each one reflects the reviewer's own experience. Some reviews may have been collected from other public sources. Brands can reply to reviews but can't edit or remove them.

Built Tough for Daily Use

Just yesterday, pulling a regional jet across the tarmac, the Comet 8D felt incredibly stable. The hydraulic steering is precise, and the leaf spring front axle absorbs bumps well.

Reliable, Good Parts Access

When we needed a replacement brake pad for the drum brakes, I was impressed with the parts availability. Routine checks on the EU V Deutz TCD 3.6 L4 engine are straightforward.

Solid Performer, Mind the Diesel

After 24 months of heavy apron use, our Comet 8D with the DEUTZ TCD 3.6 L4 engine is a consistent performer. Fuel consumption is a notable running cost, but the Allison drive is smooth.

Great Value for Airport Operations

Having operated various tugs for over 15 years, the Mulag Comet 8D offers excellent value. Its 55 kN drawbar pull handles our 50t MTOW pushbacks easily. The Kessler differential axle feels robust.
